Listen in to our audio broadcast of the 2022 Youth of the Year competition!
Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Youth of the Year program celebrates the nation’s most awe- inspiring young people, recognizing excellence in leadership, service, academic excellence and dedication to live a healthy lifestyle. Club members Ivan, Avery and Marcella submitted portfolios to a panel of judges that detailed their Club experience, what matters to them, and how they overcome obstacles. Each teen was extensively interviewed and delivered speeches describing the Club’s impact on their lives.
Our day now begins with facilitating Club members distance learning and participation in their online classrooms, then transitioning into afternoon enrichment programs that focus on health and fitness, social emotional learning, the arts and more. Members play games and stay active while connecting with mentors and friends. You make this possible.
Our Stories for the Soul booklet gives you a peek into members lives, all the way from 6 years old to 18!
