Scott Galloway is a lifelong resident of Henderson County. He attended and graduated from
West Henderson High School as a three-sport athlete. Scott went on to play College
baseball at Brevard College and was a part of the 1998 Junior College World Series
team. He has a beautiful wife, Miranda, and two children, Tye, who is a deputy Sheriff with
Henderson County Sheriff’s Office and Oakleigh, who attends Elementary School.
After college, Scott went into law enforcement due to the same team dynamics and
strong belief in teamwork and leadership. He currently works for the Henderson County
Sheriff’s Office with an extensive background in Criminal Investigations, and is currently
assigned as the District Captain of the School Resource Officer Division. He is also the
commander of the Crisis and Hostage Negotiators Team.
Scott has received his Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate and service award with
23 years’ experience. Scott is also a graduate of the Western North Carolina Law
Enforcement Leadership Academy. He is a graduate of the National Forensic Academy
at the University of Tennessee. He was also the recipient in 2009 of the Knights of
Columbus Shield Award for Detective of the Year.
Scott is also a local business owner with his family. French Broad River Cattle Farms
(beef cattle) in Etowah, NC, and Etowah Meat Depot (butcher shop), also located in
Etowah NC.
Scott serves on several boards, including the Hendersonville Housing Authority and the
Henderson County Community Child Protection and Child Fatality Prevention Team.
