Hurricane Helene has deeply impacted our Boys & Girls Club families, staff, and the broader community. In response, we’ve launched a dedicated fund to support those who need help getting back on their feet in the long-term.
Right now, relief efforts are focusing on providing urgent assistance to families still without essentials like water, power, or shelter. But soon, the immediate aid will slow, and the hard work of rebuilding will begin—and we’ll be ready to face that challenge together!
This fund will initially cover basic needs, but in the long term, it will help families rebuild their homes, secure new housing, or replace vehicles lost in the storm. We’re raising funds now because we understand that recovery is a long journey, and we’re committed to walking it with our community every step of the way.

For decades, the Boys & Girls Club of Henderson County has been dedicated to advancing equitable family services in our community. We’ve been honored to share joy, support success in schools, and mentor future leaders. Now, in the wake of Hurricane Helene’s devastation, we are called to do even more for those who need us most.
While the recovery process—restoring power, reopening roads, and rebuilding—will take time, we stand committed to supporting our families through this challenging journey.
We’re launching the Restore and Rebuild: Supporting Our Families’ Return to Normal Fund to help families address the unexpected costs caused by the disaster. This fund will provide relief for essential needs such as replacing vehicles, supplying clothing, and preventing evictions for those who have lost their jobs.
