Laura Belanger first discovered the Boys and Girls Club back in 2014 when she was looking for the very best after-school program for her oldest who was in kindergarten. She has been an avid club parent since then and currently has two boys in the middle school program at BGC. Her youngest will be attending next year once she turns 6!
Laura has a successful 20+ year career as an environmental consultant specializing in stream and wetland regulations. She founded Blueline Environmental Consultants, LLC last year following a lengthy and successful career with Environmental Permitting Consultants, Inc (EPC). Her focus is on strategic problem solving and client education, working with clients and engineers at all points during the development process to ensure strategic solutions and planning with regard to wetland issues. Prior to founding Blueline, Laura worked throughout the Southeast and on Cape Cod, MA conducting wetland delineations, stream assessments and restoration, water quality sampling, protected species assessments and relocations, permitting, and other regulatory analyses.
Outside interests include finding ways to support youth in Henderson County through her work with the Boys and Girls Club and within the public school system educating young girls on STEM career opportunities. She and her husband Matt also love hauling their three kids on long distance camping trips, having traveled out to Yellowstone and up to coastal Maine with their camper.
